In his 24 years on the bench Judge Suttle tried civil cases from simple car accidents to product liability actions, professional malpractice actions and complex business disputes; criminal cases from misdemeanors to capital murders; and domestic relations actions.

Judge Suttle presided over more than 500 jury trials to verdicts. In his career he was responsible for the disposition of more than 10,000 civil cases, 7,500 criminal cases and 5,000 divorces. As part of his docket he was also the juvenile court judge from 1984 to 1993.

PERSONAL 

Mike was born in 1951, grew up in Memphis and graduated from the public schools. He worked his way through college and then attended law school on an academic scholarship. He moved to Florence, Al, in 1979 and began the private practice of law until becoming a circuit court judge in 1984.
